Regarding the increase in salaries and pensions of government employees, sources said that in the budget for the next financial year, the salaries of government employees are likely to increase by 20% and the pensions of retired government employees are also expected to increase. The Finance Ministry is considering various proposals to increase the salaries of government employees.



Initially, various proposals were made for a 20% to 50% increase, but due to Corona, a 20% increase in the salaries of government employees is being considered in view of the country's economic situation.

It is also learned that the pension of retired government employees is expected to increase by 20%. With reference to the budget, it is stated that a proposal to keep the growth rate target at 3% is under consideration. Due to the Corona virus epidemic, it has been decided to keep all targets low. On the other hand, Rs 3,200 billion will be spent on loans and interest payments, while a 10 per cent increase in the defense budget is being considered.

After which Rs 1,400 billion can be allocated for the defense budget. According to media reports, Rs 700 billion could be allocated for subsidies and pension payments. And FBR Calyx targets of Rs 5100 billion are being set. While it has been decided to allocate Rs 460 billion for the expenditure of the federal government.
